Chowmein a very famous street food. No introduction is required. It is on top when it comes to Chinese food which become a part of our lives. Kids love it very much, even i know people who enjoy this in lunch and dinner also. My kids love it. I have planned to make it tomorrow but my son kept on asking for it, he was not well and not eating anything at last when he asked to make it i was not in mood to say NO. So i made it yesterday night. It came out good. I was also happy to think that i planned to make it and everything was ready with me. otherwise it would have been very difficult for me if i have to order it from outside. So there was a satisfaction that it is hygienic and my son enjoyed it.
Chowmein - half packet
Cabbage - 1 cup chopped length wise
Carrot - 1 tbsp chopped length wise
Onion - 1 small chopped thinly
Salt - as per your taste
Soya Sauce - 2 tbsp
Chilly Sauce - 1 tbsp (i haven't used)
Vinegar - 1 tbsp (i haven't used)
Take your ingredients
Heat water in big vessel and add 1 tsp oil in it
When it starts boiling then add chowmein
Give it a good 2-3 boil
Stir in between
Switch off gas and Cover for 10 min
Now strain all water and and run this under cold water
Now leave it for 5 min in a colander/Chhalni
Now wash your hands and take oil in your hand and mix chowmein
you can throw one tsp oil on it and apply but this is the best way
Chowmein is ready to cook
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wide iron skillet
and throw your veggies it
Cook for few seconds
Now add boiled chowmein
Add Soya sauce and Salt
Mix well and Saute for 2-3 min very well
DONE DONE DONE
READY TO SERVE

- Use wide vessel to boil it as it boils over and can spill.
- Use your favourite veggies.
- You can apply oil by spreading 1 tsp oil on chowmein and mix with two forks, i use my hands as it is quick and easy.
- I skipped vinegar and chilly sauce as my kid was not well.
- After boiling running under cold water is important otherwise it will stick together.
