Healthy Tandoori Roti without Tandoor/Oven

Hi Friends,
Do you love Tandoori food? I love to have tandoori roti smeared with lots of butter. Always wanted to make it at home, saw so many recipe on blogs but never felt like trying them as i don't have oven or tandoor at home and people who make them without these gadgets use their pressure cooker to make that. But i never found that easy or convenient. Saturday night i thought to give it a try and used my own imagination to make this delicious tandoori roti. I was bit scared to make it so i used less quantity to make nearly 8-10 tandoori rotis and just opposite to my thoughts it came out so delicious that my kids kept asking for more. I also made them for next day lunch also.
To give it a healthy touch i used wheat flour instead of regular APF/Maida but that doesn't made a big different. The rotis were soft and crispy. If you want to enjoy these rotis make them side by side or consume after making all. These are less tend to become hard like Maida flour rotis. These are so easy and quick that you can make them for unwanted guest also. It will take as much time as you take for normal wheat roti/phulkas. Try it guys and impress your family and guests.

Ingredients:-
Wheat Flour - 1.5 cup
Curd - half cup
kasoori methi - 2 tsp
Salt- 1/2t sp
Oil- 1 tbsp
Warm water- 1/2 cup or as required

Method:-

Ingredients

Take flour in a wide bowl or plate make a well in it

pour oil in the well

kasoori methi

curd and salt

Now with warm water start kneading it

make a soft dough like we do for chapati

cover and keep it separate for 15 minutes

Dough become light and soft

Now grease your roller pin with oil

Grease your hands too

Pinch a ball size dough

Roll it

Now roll it with roller pin and make a flat roti

Heat a heavy bottom pan or tawa

 Apply water on rolled roti

Put it on hot tawa or pan
(water applied side should touch the tawa)

bubble will appear on the top

Now turn your tawa on flame while roti still sticking on the tawa

Turn the tawa and apply ghee/butter on the roti

Ready to serve
