Beetroot Mayonnaise Sandwich/

Healthy Breakfast/

Kids Special
Hi Friends,
Sometimes you are so lazy or unwell that you want something quick and easy. But when it comes to kids lunch box you are supposed to be more cautious to choose menu which should be quick and healthy. Last night i was having some beets which i wanted to finish off soon. Then again by co incidence i bought a jar of different flavors of mayonnaise. Third co incidence was that by daughter asked to pack sandwich in the lunch box and all three co incidences turned out in a very healthy sandwich. Only drawback was that when i sent my brother for bread then only last packet of white bread was available. So went ahead with that. So if you want to more healthy then use brown or multigrain bread.
It was so quick, easy and at the same time very healthy. I packed it for myself also. It was too yummy. You can not believe that it needs very few ingredients, takes hardly 10 minutes to make this sandwiches. You can make them for parties too. Prepare everything at night and assemble and serve at the time. I would i ask you to try these sandwiches as it is a great way to feed your kids beets which kids normally avoids because of its taste. So friends now to the recipe.

Ingredients:-

Bread Slices- 6 (brown/multigrain/white)
Beetroot-1 medium
Onion- 1 medium (optional but recommended)
Butter- as required (i skipped it)
Mayonnaise- 3 tbsp

Method:-
Take all your ingredients

Chop onions in small pieces

grate beets

mix both of them in a bowl

now add mayonnaise

mix them well

take a bread slice
here you can apply butter but i avoided (see notes)

apply generous amount of beet mayonnaise mix

cover with another slice

cut

Serve

see vibrant colour of beets
Notes:-

  1. Use brown bread or multi grain bread for more healthier version. The time i went to grab the bread this was the only option so i grabbed this one.
  2. I will suggests you to avoid butter if you are packing sandwiches for lunch box specially for kids as after lunch kids drink water and greasy things like butter can cause cough. If you don't agree with me then go ahead as per your wish.
  3. You avoid onion completely. I added it for some crunch and it worth trying this combination.
  4. You can chop beets too but i thought that kids might not like beets in chunk so grated them. You can grate onion also.
  5. You can use any of your favorite flavored mayonnaise also.
Hope you will like it

How to make Crispy Banana Chips without Chips Cutter-Chips Maker
Banana Chips My Style/
Diwali Savory Recipes/
Navaratri Recipes
Hi Friends,
You must have heard this saying "Necessity is the mother of Invention" It is very much true. There are times when we plan to make something and while preparing we came to know that some ingredient is missing or gadget is not there or gadget not in working condition then instead of leaving the hope we should try to find something which can work for it. I really thank blogging world to make me so efficient to use my instincts to create something which can become tip for those who are in need. like if we don't have chips maker at home and we are not able to slice thinly which is a must to make crispy chips. so how could we make crispy chips when we have only a knife and these two hands gifted by God to use. I think its enough to tell you the story behind my banana chips.
I bought raw banana last Monday to make chips out of it. Yesterday i was determined to make chips so after dinner i started preparing to make chips and when i searched for chips maker my mom told me that that was broken i was disappointed a lot and then my mom told me to not lost the hope. I said if i will slice by hand then chips would not be that crispy and that will take lot more time to fry them. She told me the method of double frying as earlier these gadgets were not available so they use to make something like this. I went ahead and the result was amazing. My chips were perfectly crispy and the taste was authentic. If you have chips make then you don't need to double fry as hand sliced chips are thick and takes time to cook from inside out. So friends i loved the outcome and thanked my mom for helping me. Love you MOM.

Ingredients:-
Raw Banana/kacha kela-6-7
Salt- 1/2 tsp
Turmeric-3/4 tsp
Oil - for frying

Method:-
Ingredients

cut the sides of banana

peel off the skin

(if you feel the banana is clean then skip this step and slice them)

slice them as thin as possible

heat oil in a kadai

first they will sink

then they will arise on top

fry them on low flame, stirring in between

remove and let them cool down

now fry them again on low flame stirring in between

see they are perfectly fried

take them out

DONE

Now while they are hot put them in a bowl

add turmeric and salt and toss well

READY TO EAT

THEY WERE YUMMMMMM

Notes:-

  1. After first frying you can mix salt and turmeric and then fry again.
  2. Always fry on low flame and keep stirring in between.
  3. You can also add chat masala for more tasty chips.

Tiranga Idli

Tiranga Idli/Tricolor Idli

Hi Friends,
Who don't know about Idli. Everybody know how to make it. Its not only south Indians who enjoy this healthy steamed delicacy but whole north Indian have this as breakfast, lunch or dinner. But we all need a change. Right. So i always try to keep on changing the basic recipes. Its not a recipe actually its a method to modify idli's taste and don't worry about the texture It will remain same. Actually i made it especially for my two new blogger friends  Vigsha and Jagruti Independence Day event. So dear friend this post is dedicated to my Country INDIA and Vigsha and Jagruti. I added green chatni for Green colour in idli and trust me it while i took my first bite, i was amazed with the taste. Even my kids kept on saying mammy green in my tiffin and orange in my tiffin. It was really fun. So please try it and enjoy with your family.

Notes:-
  1. I made them especially for Independence day event so i used these two colors. You try your favourite sauce/chatni and see the difference.
  2. If you are serving them with some accompaniment  then no need to add salt and onion.
  3. You you are serving it alone with tea/coffee then add salt in white idli only as sauce and green chatni already had that.
  4. I normally add onion in idli batter. You can skip it.
