Makhane ki Kheer/ Fox Nut Dessert

Makhane ki Kheer/ Fox Nut Dessert
Hi friends,
Hope you all are enjoying these festival days with Ramlila, fast, festival food and lots of shopping. Yesterday i made Makhana Kheer for my husband who is on fast for nine days (he wants to shed some kilos hehehehh). First time i made this kheer and it came out good. I am totally unaware bout the taste and texture of this kheer as i never tried nor tasted it before. So i used my propotion to make it. I have heard and read that people crush the makhana after roasting them but i roughly crushed them to enjoy some tit bit pieces in it. It came out really good. My son liked it very much and asked me to make it again. So guys try it and let me know the outcome.

Sending this to Milk SweetsNavarathri 2012 event
Notes:-
  1. You can crush the makhana more, i wanted to make it this way to crushed them roughly.
  2. I used one cup milk but later i realised that it was less, so added more, so in the recipe i mentioned 2 cups of milk.
  3. Adjust sugar according to your taste.
  4. If you like bit crunchy taste then add few whole makhana in cooked kheer.

HOPE YOU WILL LIKE IT

Love
