Moongfalli Makhana Namkeen/Navaratri Snack/ Tea Time Snack/Peanut Fox Nut Snack

Moongfalli Makhana Namkeen/
Peanut Fox Nut Snack/
Navaratri Snack/
Tea Time Snack
Hi Friends,
This is my first post of Navaratri Special. A have seen so many snacks in market on Navaratri for the people on fast. Yesterday i bought such snack for market and felt how unhygienic it is to take such things from outside. So by the time i finished the packet i made a plan to make that snack. At night after finishing off dinner part i made this snack and it took hardly 10-15 min to make this. This recipe is so flexible add of omit, increase or decrease anything  you want. It was so crunchy munchy and tasty. I didn't added much spices in it as kids were also suppose to have it. Don't mind little bit oil in it as it adds moisture in it and prevent sour throat after having it. You can try it without oil also or with ghee. Choice is yours.

Ingredients:-
Makhana/fox nut- 1 cup

Peanuts/Moongfali- 1 cup

Gond - 1 tbsp

Coconut - 1 tbsp

Kishmish/Raisin  - 1 tbsp

Salt - as per your taste

Method:-
Grab your ingredients

Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan

Throw in peanuts and roast them

Done
Remove it from pan

Now add makahan in the same pan and roast for 1 min and remove

Now heat 1 tbsp oil in the pan and add edible gum in it

keep on stirring and remove when puffed up

roast coconut for 10 seconds and remove from pan

ALL ROASTED

Take everything in a bowl and and add salt
(i didn't roasted raisins)

Toss Well for few seconds

SERVE

Sending this to Milk SweetsNavarathri 2012 event
Notes:-

  1. You can add chilly powder or chat masala in it to spice it up. I made it simple.
  2. You can also add dry fruits, seeds in it to increase the taste and make it more healthy.
  3. You can roast raisin/kishmish till puffed as per your wish. I like it this way.
  4. You can skip any ingredient but i think that all these makes best combination.

HOPE YOU WILL LIKE IT
