Easy Potato Dry Side Dish/
Sesame Potato Masala
Hi Friends,
Potatoes play a big roll in regular North Indian cooking. Our most of the veggies are incomplete without it. Potatoes are so versetile you can make anything for starters, snacks, main dish, side dish, accompaniments and whole lot of stuff out of it. Even if it stands alone it will never ever disappoint you. Make dry or gravy with potatoes it will never disappoint you. I like them so much as if you dont have any veggie in your hands then only potatoes can make wonders. Fry them and you potato chat/wadges/french fries are ready to munch upon. Boil them and make kofta/tikki add in rice and make pulao/biriyani means list is endless.
If i am not in mood to make something elaborated for my lunch box them i make simple potato pulao (recipe coming soon) or make Potato Roast, chettinad Aloo, Spicy Aloo etc. Today morning i tried one forgotten recipe. I saw this recipe somewhere and forgot about it. Today morning while i saw some sesame seeds laying on the shelf i decided to try this new dish which came out so tasty. I pakced it for my kids lunch and gave some for their breakfast with parantha. They enjoyed it a lot. Sesame seeds gave a nice crunch to it. Do try this guys i am sure you will enjoy it.

Notes:-

  1. You can make this side dish without onion & tomato also.
  2. Adding sesame seeds will give them the nice crunch while eating so don't skip them.
  3. You can make big pieces of potatoes but then it will take more time to cook and you have to keep en eye on it as we are not adding any water and they can burn easily
  4. Making small pieces of potato saves so much time i made 1 inch long pieces. Smaller pieces lesser time to cook.
  5. You can add chopped green chilly if you like.
  6. Keep them stirring in between so that potatoes don't stick to the bottom.
  7. You can garnish it with coriander leaves.
Hope you will like it
