Barfi with Condense Milk and Drinking Chocolate Powder/ Milkmaid-Condense Milk Barfi/ Indian Sweets

Barfi with Condense Milk and Drinking Chocolate Powder/
Milkmaid-Condense Milk Barfi/
Indian Sweets
Hi Friends,
I know i am very irregular these days. But you know its not like i don't get time to cook. Its all just about willingness to stay from  everything but i hope i will come again on track soon.
I want to try most of the Indian Sweets like barfi, ladoo at home. But these both things require some practice to get the right consistency of roasting and quantity of ingredients, consistency of sugar syrup and lot of things, but once you get the idea, then making these sweets are a breeze. I haven't got that perfection yet so always search for a easy recipe. I was having a milkmaid tin laying on my shelf. After searching so many sites for a easy recipe i bookmarked a coco barfi which required hardly any ingredients. But coco powder was not in my stock so i used drinking chocolate powder. It came out good. It is sweet with sweeter side so if you are not a big fan of too much sweet then use coco powder of dark chocolate powder to adjust the sweetness. Else it hardly need any kind of perfection or require any skill to make that. So go ahead and try it.

Ingredients:-
Milkmaid/Condense Milk- 1 cup
Coco Powder/Drinking Chocolate Powder- 1 tbsp
Almonds- 1 tbsp
Ghee- 2 tsp melted

Method:-
Take all your ingredients

Melt ghee in a pan

add condense milk/milkmaid

mix them well and

it will start thickening

keep it stirring contentiously else it will burn easily

keep an eye on thickness
see its thick enough

add chocolate/coco powder

mix well and keep stirring

add chopped almonds

its done

pour it in greased tray

After fully setting

mark lines

as per your preferred size

ready to serve
don't be impatient like me, let it set completely
Notes:-
  1. You use more coco powder or drinking chocolate powder for more chocolaty flavor.
  2. It will be bit sticky but don't worry you will love it that way.
  3. Keep it stirring in all the process else it will burn easily.
  4. You can add any of the dry fruit you like.
  5. You can make it without ghee also but ghee will give a shiny texture and nice aroma to this burfi.
  6. Before cutting pieces let it set completely for few hours.
Hope you will like it

Ajwain Triangle Parantha/
Ajwain Parantha/
Flat Bread with Carom Seeds

Hi Friends,
Who don't like piping hot paranthas. Paranthas are always welcome and a unavoidable breakfast in Northern Indian families. Stuffed paranthas are a real treat on bone chilling mornings. But sometimes putting efforts to make stuffed paranthas take back gear so this kind of ajwain paranthas comes for the rescue. You can make this parantha on a busy morning and relish with anything you like. This is so easy and takes very less time to make. A big hit in my house as i can make them any day.

You can make them with ghee or butter or even with vegetable oil. I make paranthas for me and my mother with vegetable oil as it has less calories then ghee (clarified butter). You can make them in round or square shapes also. But this shape in bit different and kids enjoy it a lot. So i prefer making them triangle. Ajwain/carom seeds are also good for health specially in winters so it plays duel role to flavor the parantha with medicinal touch to our health. So friends make it and enjoy winter mornings.

Choco Lava Cake with Multi Grain Flour/ Multi Grain Choco Lava Cake

Choco Lava Cake with Multi Grain Flour/
Multi Grain Choco Lava Cake
Hi Friends,
Winters are bidding goodbye but some surprise visits are often these days. As sometimes rain gives a pleasant surprise pushing us again in the thick blankets. So on these kind of evenings are an invitation to something piping hot delights. I wanted to bake a chocolate cake first but its very regular in my house so thought to try Choco Lava cake. I used multi grain flour for this which we use for chapati. Cake was dense but so yum. Oozing out Melted chocolate made it more tempting. Everyone liked it at home. Kids asked to spare few pieces for their lunch box also. I made it multigrain flour but you can make it with regular cake flour and can use butter instead of vegetable oil. Hope you will try it as we did.

This recipe is not as elaborated as i usually do. Please ask me if any questions arise regarding the recipe.

Ingredients:-

Wheat Flour- 1 cup
Baking Soda- 1 tsp
Baking Powder- 1 tsp
Chocolate Powder- 2 tbsp
Curd-3/4 cups
Oil-1/2 cup
Sugar-3/4 cup
Hot water- as required
Chocolate Pieces- 1 big piece (or as per your vessel)

Method:-
Take all your ingredients

Mix wet ingredients and dry ingredients separately
then mix them both

Add hot water to adjust the consistency

batter would be bit lumpy

throw in half batter in prepared cake pan

Place a big chocolate pieces in it

cover with rest of the batter

I studded some almonds on top
and baked for 45 minutes

 READY TO SERVE

Cut it
Hot CHOCOLATE LAVA is oozing out

OOYE GOOYE CAKE
Notes:-

  1. You can use all purpose flour/maida instead of wheat flour for more spongy cake. Most of the time use multi flour for cakes.
  2. You can use butter instead of vegetable oil/olive.
  3. You can use coco powder instead of chocolate powder.
  4. You can add melted chocolate in the batter itself for more chocolaty taste. You can add more or less according to your taste.
  5. Batter would be lumpy not runny. So don't panic.
