CHOLAY KULCHAY
Hi Friends,
I don't know about the other state but All Delhite knows about this street food. A very famous tempting and cheap food to satisfy your cravings. I have seen people having it as breakfast, lunch, dinner or just to change their taste buds. You can find stalls everywhere in front of school, collage, industrial areas, markets etc. Just go in front of any school or collage, or to a big name company in the afternoon you can see peon to executives devouring this street food. This is that much famous.
Earlier people use to think that white chana (Garbanzo Bean) is used to make CHOLE. But then main ingredients came in light. Actually vendors use dried white or green peas as they are really cheap and taste same as Garbanzo Bean. Now everybody know s that what is the ingredients but still it is called CHOLAY KULCHAY. Any body can make them at home as ingredients are few and taste is delectable. I made it for Sunday breakfast. So friends try it at home and tell me the outcome.

- You can add red and green chilly both, i avoided both.
- Use amchoor pdr or chat masala as per your choice.
- Soak peas at least for 3-4 hrs to lessen the cooking time.
- Do not over cook peas and potato otherwise they will get mushy.
