Chocolate Choco Chips Ice cream/ Easiest Icecream Ever/ Kids Special

Chocolate Choco Chips Ice cream/
Easiest Icecream Ever/
Kids Special
Hi Friends,
Who don't love ice creams specially when hot and shiny sun make you sweat all day and night. Since long time i was planning to make ice cream with whip cream but somehow i was not able to make it. I made this ice cream which was an experiment as i wanted to make an ice cream like we get in ice cream parlors, perfect in shape when scooped out and texture should be melt in mouth. I was bit confused that will it taste like ice cream or like we are eating icing?
But thankfully this recipe won everyone's heart in my house. Kids licked every bit of it and husband also loved it. It was so easy that it took hardly 10 minutes to make it.
But be careful with few things while making this with chocolate as its bit tricky to mix chocolate and cream. Chocolate should be completely cooled and cream should not be over whipped as it will be hard to handle it. Don't add hot chocolate in the cream it may split. So friends try your hands on it and relish real Ice cream parlor kind of ice cream at home. Make it for parties or enjoy with your family at any time of the day.

Ingredients:-
Whip Cream-1 cup
Icing Sugar- 1/2 cup ( i used sweetened cream so didn't used)
Chocolate-150 gm or crushed/chopped 1/2 cup
Choco Chips or chocolate shavings- 1 tbsp or more see recipe here

Method:-
Ingredients

Melt chocolate and let it cool down completely

Now start whipping cream

whip

Not done

whip it more

Now its done

 Add melted and cooled chocolate

mix well

add chocolate shavings/choco chips and mix well

now cover it

freeze for 5-6 hours

After 6 hours scoop it out

Ready to serve

Garnish as you wish

I drizzled honey and topped with choco chips

                        MOUTH WATERING????

Sweet Celebration

Notes:-

  1. Don't over whip the cream. After adding chocolate just mix thoroughly and freeze.
  2. After melting and cooling chocolate i added some chocolate shaving which mixed up nicely with whip cream and i didn't required to add choco chips.
  3. You can add or less melted chocolate as per your preference.
  4. Let the chocolate cool completely before adding it to whipped cream.
  5. You can add any nuts, choco chips or even tutti fruity instead to chocolate shavings.
  6. You can garnish it with anything you prefer like chocolate sauce/honey/caramel/

Garlic Dip for spice lovers/ Lahsun ki chatni/ Garlic Sauce

Garlic Dip for spice lovers/
Lahsun ki chatni/
Garlic Sauce
Hi Friends,
I have noticed that i have very few spicy recipes in my blog. As i am not a spice lover but my dear hubby a spice fan suffer a lot as i make this almost without chilly. He use to have green chilies with his food to adjust the gap. Most of the time i make and divide food in two to make one portion spicy for him. but its not possible every time. So i thought that i will try to make a quick dip/sauce/chatni for him so that he can enjoy food.
I tried this garlic chatni for him which is inspired by south indian style chatni. It was so easy to make. I didn't tasted it as it was too spicy. But my hubby dear told me that its very spicy and i was done with my job. There was mild flavor of garlic in it. If you want it more garlicky then add more garlic pods. Otherwise its perfect to accompany with any idli, dosa, roti, naan, pulao etc.

Ingredients:-

Garlic-15-20 pods
red chilly dry- 4-5
Ginger-1 small piece
Curry Leaves-6-7
Tamarind pulp- 1 tsp
Coriander seeds- 1 tsp
Coconut- 2 tsp (optinal)
Mustered seeds- 1 tsp
Salt- according to taste

Method:-
 Take your ingredients

heat a heavy bottom kadai or pan

throw in everything except salt and tamarind pulp

roast for few seconds

cool them a bit and add in a grinder

run for few seconds

now add tamarind pulp, salt and 1 tsp of water

run again,
at this stage you can check and adjust the spices

READY TO ENJOY

Notes:-

  1. This is a totally flexible recipe you can increase or decrease the quantity of any ingredients you want. Like if you want to make it more garlicky then add more garlic and for more spicier chatni add more red chilies.
  2. You can skip coconut but it will give smooth texture so its optional but recommended.
  3. You can add green chilly or red chilly pdr too.

Rice and Jeggary Steamed Dumpling/ Sweet-Pidi-Kozhukattai/ Ganesh Chaturthi Recipes

Rice and Jeggary Steamed Dumpling/
Chawal aur gud ke steamed Ladoo/
Sweet-Pidi-Kozhukattai/
Ganesh Chaturthi Recipes
Hi Friends,
Before entering to blogging word i was not aware that each festival has its own delicacies to enjoy on that particular day. Like i was not aware that on Krishan Janamashtmi /Ganesh Chaturthi/ Christmas/ Navaratri/dussehra etc. we can enjoy lots of different dishes which are offered as Prasad to the Lord. The festivals i enjoyed as kid was Diwali/Holi and may be some bit of Christmas/Dussehra etc. Now my world of festive recipes is widened. Now about today's recipe.
I always loved South Indian food but for me earlier South Indian food was Idli/Dosa/Utthapam/Upam and few more things only. After entering into blogging world i came to know that South Indian spread is so wide that we can explore it whole life and still there would be something more to try. Then i started trying my hands on it and loved it more then ever. Few time back i came to know about Kozhukattai and the word attracted me then i came to know that there are lots of varieties of it. But few days back i saw this recipe on Sharmis blog and i decided to try my hands on it immediately. So yesterday i made them. it came out good. Well i never tasted this so not aware that howz the exactly texture and taste they have. All i came to know is that its steamed and healthy recipe to offer to Lord Ganesha or to have as sweet. Hoep you all guys will like it.

Source- Sharmi's Blog

Ingredients:-

Raw Rice- Half cup
Jeggary-
Cardamom - 2
Water-2 cups
Dry fruits-1 tbsp (optional)

Method:-
Grab your ingredients

If u don't have steamer or idli plates then make a steamer like this
Take a wide kadai or vessal and fill it with 1-2 glass water

then put a stand in it and

on this stand place the vessel you will use for steaming
keep ready a plate or cover to cover this whole utensil

Now start with the process
Take rice and add cardamom seeds in it

take them in  grinder

pulse them

Now take 2 cups water in a pan

add jeggary

let it melt completely and switch off the flame

sieve it and discard impurities

Take jeggary water in a pan or kadai

When it comes to a boil

add grinded rice in it

mix well

Cover and cook for 3-5 minutes till the rice is cooked completely

now uncover and cook until all water evaporates

Now add chopped dry fruits and mix well

switch off the flame and let it cool down bit

when its hand bearable warm then grease your hands

take some portion and make this kind of shape

All done

Grease your chalni or steaming vessel

arrange kozukottai/ladoo in it

after 15 minutes they were shiny

Ready to offer to Lord Ganesha

Notes:-
  1. While grinding the raw rice try to grind them evenly means after grinding first time take out or sieve finely grounded rice and again grind leftover rice.
  2. You can grind them finely like powder or coarse as per your choice.
  3. I did a mistake to make big ladoos. Always make small size ladoos (bit bigger then small rasgulla) which can me steamed & cooked in 10-12 minutes, my ladoos took 15 minutes and still i felt inside it was not cooked properly still it was fine.
  4. Source says after steaming when they become shiny that means they are done, but i checked it by inserting a toothpick like we do for cakes and it was perfect for me.
