Garlic Dip for spice lovers/
Lahsun ki chatni/
Garlic Sauce
Hi Friends,
I have noticed that i have very few spicy recipes in my blog. As i am not a spice lover but my dear hubby a spice fan suffer a lot as i make this almost without chilly. He use to have green chilies with his food to adjust the gap. Most of the time i make and divide food in two to make one portion spicy for him. but its not possible every time. So i thought that i will try to make a quick dip/sauce/chatni for him so that he can enjoy food.
I tried this garlic chatni for him which is inspired by south indian style chatni. It was so easy to make. I didn't tasted it as it was too spicy. But my hubby dear told me that its very spicy and i was done with my job. There was mild flavor of garlic in it. If you want it more garlicky then add more garlic pods. Otherwise its perfect to accompany with any idli, dosa, roti, naan, pulao etc.
Ingredients:-
Garlic-15-20 pods
red chilly dry- 4-5
Ginger-1 small piece
Curry Leaves-6-7
Tamarind pulp- 1 tsp
Coriander seeds- 1 tsp
Coconut- 2 tsp (optinal)
Mustered seeds- 1 tsp
Salt- according to taste
Method:-
Take your ingredients
heat a heavy bottom kadai or pan
throw in everything except salt and tamarind pulp
roast for few seconds
cool them a bit and add in a grinder
run for few seconds
now add tamarind pulp, salt and 1 tsp of water
run again,
at this stage you can check and adjust the spices
READY TO ENJOY

Notes:-
- This is a totally flexible recipe you can increase or decrease the quantity of any ingredients you want. Like if you want to make it more garlicky then add more garlic and for more spicier chatni add more red chilies.
- You can skip coconut but it will give smooth texture so its optional but recommended.
- You can add green chilly or red chilly pdr too.
