Urad Daal Ladoo/ Kids Special

Urad Daal Ladoo/
Kids Special
Hi Friends,
Ladoos-most preferred sweet to serve as Prasad in Pooja and to distribute on festivals. There was a time when Mom's use to make boxes full of Ladoos to distribute on festivals like Diwali. By the time those customs took a back stage as people are so busy now. Life is so hectic and schedule is so tight. Now sweet shops are more popular as you have to pay them few bucks and you are ready to distribute sweets to your loved one. I am not an exception. I also use to buy things from shops and distribute on occasion but still sometimes i try to recreate the aroma of those memories of those golden days with home made sweets.
I rarely try ladoo and burfis at home as i am always scared of making chashni (sugar syrup) which needs some perfection (may be i think so). I search for the recipes which don't need sugar syrup. Tried some of them and felt satisfied. I always wanted to try moong daal ladoos but somebody told me that urad daal ladoos are equally delicious. I was curious to try them soon. I use to go to a sweet shop where on counter top they kept urad daal ladoo and the sweet aroma which i can't forget. I prepared to try my hands on them and when i made them same sweet aroma filled the house and my son a ladoo lover like chota bheem came running and said mom are you making ladoos. I smiled and he went back shouting mom is making ladoos. It took almost 30 minutes to make them and it came out so delicious. I am planning to make them again as my family loved them. Hope you will also try and enjoy them.

Sweet Celebration

Notes:-
  1. You can use urad daal flour and boora for more convenient method.
  2. Sieving the powdered daal is essential as it will help in binding and gives smooth texture to the ladoo.
  3. Add dry fruits of your choice. You can also powder some of them and add in flour.
  4. Make ladoos when mix is warm else it will be difficult to shape them.
  5. After making ladoos keep them aside for atleast one hour as they will firm up. Mine disapperaed within 10 minutes still i managed to spare 2 of them which i tasted in the morning and they were as perfect as you get at sweet shops.
HOPE YOU WILL LIKE IT

Love
