Orange Cake/Cake with Orange Juice

Orange Cake with Chocolate icing/
Cake with Orange Juice and chocolate Icing
Hi Friends,
Today i am here with one more experiment. I always baked vanilla or chocolate cakes, as i afraid of trying something new. Then on my hubby's birthday i baked this cake which came out so soft. I love orange flavor, so wanted to bake orange cake, i have gone through lot of blogs in which yest is used, but i never tried as i think that i might not be able to get yest properly and cake become sour or bitter.
It was first time to try an orange cake so i used Real orange Juice, flavor was mild, i wanted it to be more orangy, i don't know the reason behind it. If you have any suggestion for me then please let me know. But don't think that cake was not tasty of fluffy. it was so soft and melt in mouth kind of cake. and after decorate it with chocolate it was absolutely yum. So guys try it and let me know the outcome.

Ingredients:-
FOR CAKE
APF Flour(maida) - 2 cups
Orange Juice - 3/4 cup
Thick Curd - 3/4 cup
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Oil - 3/4 cup
Baking Pdr - 1 tsp
Baking Soda - 1 tsp

FOR DECORATION:-
Chocolate icing - See here
Sprinkler
dry fruits
tutti fruity

Method:-
Gather your ingredients

Take flour baking soda and baking pdr and sieve them twice

Now take oil and sugar in a bowl and mix them well

Now add orange juice and mix well

Add curd and mix well

Now slowly add flour in it and mix well

Tip this in prepared baking pan

Adjust in your oven

DECORATION
I levelled the cake by cutting the top

torte the cake in 2 parts

Apply icing on bottom part and sprinkle dry fruits, tutti fruity, sprinklers on it

Then cover it with top layer

Now apply icing (i know i need lot of practice)

Decorate as per your wish

Notes:-
  1. Orange flavor was very mild, i wanted it to be more orangy flavor, will try next time adding yest.
  2. I felt that sugar was less, so i used more thick chocolate icing for filling in the center. You can increase sugar by 1 cup or more.
  3. Churn or whisk your curd before adding to the sugar orange mix, as i did this mistake and it took so much time to incorporate it.
  4. I used broken dry fruits and sprinkler for filling center, if you don't like rocky dry fruits in between your bites, then skip then and use any fruit or just fill with icing.
HOPE YOU WILL LIKE IT
