Broken Wheat Sweet Upma/ Healthy Breakfast/ Mitha Dalia/ Sweet Dalia

Broken Wheat Sweet Upma/
Healthy Breakfast/
Mitha Dalia/
Sweet Dalia
Hi Friends,
I was thinking to make it from last few months but never get a chance as nobody likes it at my in-laws house. But this was every second day affair in my mom's house. My mom and sis makes it so quickly and yum. After my marriage I made it few times but here everybody likes its savory form. So i avoided to make it. but since few days i was craving for it so badly. So i was just waiting for the right time and that i got when yesterday my daughter said in the evening-mom i am hungry.
I immediately started preparing it as i was more hungry then her :). It took me hardly 10-15 minutes to prepare it. As soon as i have done with it, my kids kept on gazing the plate to grab it and waited impatiently while i was taking shots. They like it but not that much (again i am alone and lazy to make it) but i ate it with my whole heart reminding about the dalia made by my sis and mom. Next time i will try variation with milk. Hoping that kids will also relish it as i do. You can make it for breakfast also to break the monotony of savory upma or enjoy it in the evening to suppress hunger pangs.

Notes:-

  1. Frying dalia in 1 tsp ghee/oil is absolutely optional. you can directly mix dalia and water and proceed with the procedure.
  2. You can add 1 cup more water in it and can make it in liquid form. But i like it dry.
  3. You can add honey instead of sugar in it to make it more healthy.
  4. Add any dry fruit of your choice.
  5. Serve hot for best taste.

HOPE YOU WILL LIKE IT

Love
