Now to our Manali Trip. In my previous Post you have seen that how my five year old encouraged us to try River Crossing. Today i will post famous Hidimba Devi temple, Club house and Rohtaang Pass. All three places have their own beauty and charm. Like we wills tart with Club house which is situated between lush green hills. This is a place where you will get all kind of games and activities like boating, river crossing, car driving, swings etc. There are lots of food stalls, you can even enjoy Gol Gappas while enjoying beauty of nature like flowing river beside you. You can also do shopping there as there are lots of shops which will provide you wide range of woolen clothing.
In Manali everywhere you will find ladies selling strawberries, cherries in small tea cups which costs Rs.10 each cup.

We ate so many berries there. smallest strawberries were sweetest one. They all were fresh and juicy.

My kids at Club house enjoying scenic beauty

From Club house there is 15 minute walk to Famous Hidimba Devi Temple. But don't take it lightly as you have to climb stairs which will make you breathless. Firstly you will think oh it would be so easy to climb them but when you will start climbing them you will realize its not that much easy. This picture i took after climbing the stairs to take some rest.

After climbing the stairs you have to walk through lush green area
its my hubby, son and daughter

Famous Hidimba Devi mandir
This place is surrounded by so many old and beautiful trees. Its beautiful picturesque place to roam around and take lots and lots of pictures. See below

These are too tall and old trees

My kids kept on running here and there. Here in cities they can't find such a beautiful and big space.

Rohtaang Pass
Next day early morning at 5.30am we left  for Rohtaang Pass. But still we were not able to reach exactly at that place. You can see the reason in the pics. There was heavy traffic Jam. In the morning all vehicles move towards Rohtaang pas and after afternoon only you will be allowed to come back as these are very narrow roads and hardly two vehicles can cross at one time. All this area is under BSF (Border Security Force). Our driver asked us to move towards another place to show ice to our kids as we were suppose to board VOLVO on the same day to return back to Delhi and Going to ROHTAANG means coming back at 12 (at night).

You will cross all these beautiful places. see clouds on the top. it was like our vehicle is floating in clouds.

All these is ice. It become dirty because it was raining at night and all mud from mountains ran over it. This is chilled water floating in the water fall and that was frozen here on which we enjoyed skiing.

My son enjoying skiing and daughter (in pink dress). You are suppose to take these dresses on rent which costs Rs.1000 for adult and Rs. 500 for kids in which these skiing suit, shoes, gloves are included. As sometimes temperature sinks below zero degree.

After spending two hours there we came back.
When we reached hotel weather become more and more beautiful  but we were suppose to board our VOLVO. So with so many beautiful memories packed in our heart we came back.
This photograph i took from the garden of our Hotel.

This is the Volvo of Himachal Tourism ( Costs Rs. 1220 pp, kids above 4 years suppose to pay full charge  in which you will get a water bottle, blankets, these TV on every seat and earphones.

Now to Today's Recipe
Now to today's recipe. Today I am here with very simple, easy, quick and creamy recipe. I know every kid like Bournvita/Horlicks specially chocolate flavor. Even i know lots of people who tried to taste bournvita/horlicks and tasted spoonful. I had it in chilled milk twice but never become fan of it. But in these summers when temperature become 47 degree i chose to offer milk to my kids in this way means in cold milk avoiding hot chocolate milk. I used my mixer to make this and it came out so creamy, rich and tasty. It hardly takes any time. My kids loved it very much. Even hubby and myself liked it and now i make it every second day. Try it guys you will also like it.

Ingredients:-
Milk- one Glass
Chocolate Bournvita/Horlicks - 1 tbsp
Sugar - 2 tsp
Ice- few  cubes

Method:-
Grab your ingredients

take a blender and put born vita/horlicks in it

sugar

 2-3 ice cubes

half glass milk

pulse for few seconds

now add more ice cubes and rest of the milk and pulse again

chilled chocolate horlicks drink is ready to serve

POUR IN GLASSES

Serve with anything you like
i served it with vanilla tutti fruity cake

Notes:-

  1. You can make this drink more light by adding half milk and half chilled water. but for rich and creamy taste you should use only milk.
  2. You can add any fruit like banana, strawberry etc. in it to make it more healthy and rich.
  3. If you want to avoid ice then use chilled milk for the same.

HOPE YOU WILL LIKE IT

Love
