Chettinad Aloo/
Potato in freshly grounded spices/
Chettinad Special
Hi Friends,
Few months back I came to know about Chettinad Recipes Chettinad is a famous place where freshly grounded spices are use to cook vegetables. I don't know much about this place but when i saw some dishes prepared this way at Aarthi's food blog Yummy tummy. From the day i saw those potatoes smeared in spices i was determined to make them but never got the opportunity to try my hand on it. So today morning i made these potatoes and want to tell you that the aroma of freshly grounded spices was just so awesome. I never thought that it can make a huge difference in a simple potato sabzi. Its so easy to make and can be served within 15 minutes. I tasted it and felt that it was full of aroma it doesn't taste good but also smell so good. Now i will try more veggies Chettinad way. If you want to give a twist to your regular potato curry then try this i am sure you will love it as i did.

Notes:-
- You can add more chilies if you want it more spicy, but i was suppose to serve it to kids so kept minimal.
- You can also add 2 tsp chana daal in it. i was not having in hand.
- Basically its about grinding spices in powder form so don't add ginger garlic or green chilly in it for real taste of Chattinaad special dish.
- I think if we make a bit grainy powder of spices then it will give a crunchy flavour to potatoes. Will try it next time.
HOPE YOU WILL LIKE IT
