Sooji ka Cheela/
Semolina Pancake
Hi Friends,I feel so glad when i see my dosa in shape and up to the mark. Still i am not able to make crisp dosas like we get in restaurants. i tried several times but always failed. Don't know the exact reason behind that. My dosa always stick to the pan and never as thin as required. So i satisfy myself by making this kind of cheela/dosa. But i always keep trying for the best crisp dosas. I was so happy while i was making these dosas as they were so quick & easy to make and healthy too. My family loved it specifically kids asks for more and more.
Now these become my rescuer in bad times. Like i soak sooji for 1 hour and keep it in fridge and use it within 2-3 days whenever sudden hunger pangs or even full meal for my kids. You know my kids take it as it is or some times apply a thin layer of tomato sauce on it roll it and they are done. How easy na?. Now use to make them very often. They also like to have it in their lunch boxes and it remains soft for long time. You can enjoy it with any side or chatni. Or like me, i enjoy it simple with coffee without any side dish. Make it and enjoy it guys. I am sure your family will love it.

Such a delicious pancakes..inviting.
ReplyDeleteDosas are crunchy because they use rice flour. The more rice flour you use, the crunchier the dosa. Maybe you should add some rice flour to your sooji dosas.
