Matar Mashroom Gravy/
Side Dish with Peas and Mashroom

Hi Friends,
Hope you enjoyed your weekend and now ready to move ahead with lots of enthusiasm. last week after a long time i made mashrooms. I thought to make them bit heavy affair but lack of ingredients and some health related issues didn't let me do that. So i used very less spices and made simple Matar Mashroom for weekend. It came out so good. It was tasty and healthy. I served it with Peas Pulao. You can serve it with rice, biryani, pulao, roti, chapati, naan etc. It is a very simple dish. So if you like to have something healthy and less spicy then try this.

Matar Pulao/Peas Pulao

Matar Pulao/Peas Rice/Veg Pulao
Hi Friends,
Hope you had a great weekend. Weekends are the days when i am more then active to cooking. I make a full elaborated meal for Breakfast and lunch. My son loves Pease Pulao, it is a full meal for him. He do not touch anything else if peas pulao is there. So i always need to make something interesting to accompany with this pulao, So that he can have a full meal. In fact it can be a full meal, just add simple curd/raita/pickle/chatni and relish it.
But in growing age its necessary to give them whole nutrition so only pulao is not enough. This sunday i made peas pulao, paneer kofta curry(recipe coming soon), kala chana, chapati and dry soya chunk masala with this pulao and a sweet dessert(recipe coming soon). Whole meal was just perfect. My kiddi had soya masala, kofta curry and pease pulao. Quite satisfying for me. So here we go with the recipe:-
Ingredients:-
Rice   - 3 cups
Peas  - 1 cup
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Salt   - 1 tsp (as per your taste)
Oil    - 1 tbsp

Method:-
Take your ingredients
(i washed and soaked rice for 15 min, you can skip it)

Heat oil in a pan

 Add cumin seeds/Jeera

Add Peas (be careful it will start spluttering, cover it)

after few seconds

Add Rice and salt

Mix well and cook for 30 seconds

Add Water (i added 5 cups)

Let them Boil

After 12-15 min
DONE DONE DONE

SERVE AS PER YOUR WISH

Notes:-
  1. You can add more peas if you are serving with single accompaniment. I used 1 cup and that was fine for us as i was having so many dishes to serve with.
  2. You can use red chilly pdr and black pepper powder. i made it simple as my kid love simple pulao.
