Lobia Curry/Black Eye Pea Stew/Kunde
Hi Friends, 
I know you must be thinking about the title KUNDE, even i have heard it first time. Kunde is a staple dish of KENYA. those people boil them first and then temper with spices. But i made them my way tampering and then cooking. I made them with rice.

Lobia/black eyed pea, not very famous with the people, People do not know its nutrition value. Its very healthy and weight watcher can add them in their diet. They are as good as kidney beans. You can make salad, cutlets, pulao etc with them. Here i am posting curry recipe. Try this and enjoy.

Prep Time- 5-7 min
Cooking time - 20 min
Ingredients:-
Lobia/black eyed kidney bean- 2 cups
Tomato - 1 medium
Water - 5 cups
Onion- 1 medium
Ginger- 1 inch piece
Garlic - 5-6 pods

Method:-
Take your ingredients
Wash Lobia

Take 1 tbsp oil in a Pressure Cooker

crackle cumin seeds

Add ginger, garlic, onion and tomato and cook for few seconds

Add Lobia and mix well
Give 3-4 good whistle and its done within 20 min

READY TO SERVE

SERVE WITH RICE

OR with Chapati/roti

or as main dish or a complete meal

Notes:-
  1. You can soak lobia for 15-30 min to lessen cooking time.
  2. Use spices as per your wish.
  3. Add water accordingly, soaked lobia will absorb less water.
  4. You can soak or boil lobia beforehand and then temper it with your favorite spices.
