Twist in Butterscotch Cake

Twist in a Butterscotch Cake
Hi Friends,
You must be thinking that what would be the twist in the cake. Actually there is an ingredient which i used in cake. It was an experiment and i was afraid that i would be able to post it or not. Feeling of failure was so powerful. As i told you earlier that after entering into blogging world i become so daring and try my hands on whatever comes in my mind.
So this time i tried oats in cake. Yes you heard right. Oats in a cake. I know this is used in breads etc. But i don't know why i felt like trying it. so i went ahead and outcome was just so gooey kind of cake. I was just digging in and my heart jumped out with happiness. It was a great success. Oats melted with heat and gave a gooey kind of texture and this texture merged with choco chips and i can't explain further. Please try and explain if you can :) . Here we go with the recipe.
Ingredients:-
Butterscotch Batter - See here
Choco Chips                - 1 tbsp
Tutti Fruiti               - 1/2 tbsp (optional)
Oats                         - 1 tbsp

Add Choco chips in batter

Throw oats in it

Add color by adding tutti fruiti

Gently Mix them (don't overmix)

BAKED FOR 25 MIN

OUT OF THE OVEN

ONE PIECE FOR YOU

Sending it to Nayna's Let's cook with Fruits

Kavitha's FoodMania and Vardhini's Announcement Page

Notes:-
  1. Tutti Frutti is optional, i added just to add color.
  2. You can skip banana puree in batter and add any other fruit puree. But i think banana pure and choco chips go really well.
  3. After baking cool down cake completely. I was so impatient (and kids were more then me) so cut it before cooling and got crumby pieces.
HOPE YOU WILL LIKE IT
